Thursday evening was Nascar night at Grand Rapids Speedway and what a blast it was. Dad has known Kenny Wallace for a long time, so it was really fun to meet and race with him. It was entertaining to listen to stories about Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Allen Kulicki and that bunch who raced with Dick Trickle when my dad worked for him.
Last night, we decided to go to down to Princeton Speedway as the weather Looked a little "iffy" at I-94 speedway in Fergus Falls where we nomally run on friday evenings. In addition to that, the Thom/Alsaker Family has been building the "Ryan's Race" dash for cash in memory of there son Ryan who lost his life in an automobile accident. With a 16 car field we managed to capture the top prize and a sweet big check! I have always wanted to get one of these and in all my racing adventures I've never gotten one I can keep for my self. I'm honored to have Ryan's as my first. Also last night we won the A mod feature by only .014 of a second! The closest finish of my racing carrer thus far. I cannot thank my team and sponsors enough.
See you at the track
