This past Friday Skyline Speedway was hosting their Greg Schilling Memorial Race where they had 52 AMRA Modifieds signed up for the night. With so many Modifieds registered, only 2 from each heat and 2 from each B main would transfer to the feature. We ended up 4th in our heat which only then qualified us to start front row of the B main. We raced 12 laps in the B main and ended up 2nd. We then earned ourself a back row starting spot in the feature. Racing against tough competition, we ended up 7th place in the feature and was awarded the 'Hard Charger Award!'
Thanks to all the Sponsors, crew and fans!
On 7/20/2013 plans changed quick when 201 Speedway canceled because of rain. We decided to head the opposite direction and race at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Ohio. A weekly show Jackie Boggs raced with his late model, the #60 modified had never raced on the 3/8 mile, clay, high banked track before. We started 5th, and ended up 1st in the heat. Finishing 1st in all modified heats qualified you to re-draw. We started pole position of the feature. Frequent cautions made for many restarts. However, we managed to keep it together and race ourselves to a feature win. Team #60 looks forward to running at PRP again.
Thanks to all the sponsors, fans and Dave for the support.
We returned to Kentucky on Monday and decided to race Brushcreek that Wednesday. We qualified 2nd fastest lap time, and ended up 2nd in the heat. We struggled with a mechanical issue 6 laps into our 20 lap feature and ended up 12th. We enjoyed the challenging track, and are looking forward to racing Brushcreek again soon.
We were pleased with how our weekend went in Minnesota. We ran two cars, our new Impressive B mod and Tommy Thomson's Rocket Late Model. We were successful with our new B mod: we ended up taking home three, 2nd place finishes and qualifying for the race of champions at the Wissota 100 in Huron, SD. With the Late Model we had some learning to do at Grand Rapids, we rained out at I-94 Speedway and ended up 7th in the Late Model feature at Viking Speedway. It was great to be back racing Wissota tracks, along with seeing many fimilar faces. We are back in Kentucky hoping to be racing the A mod here soon.
Thanks to the Sponsors, Fans and everybody part of team 60.
We will be racing this coming weekend, with our schedule tentative keep checking back to the website or Facebook "DanEbert60" for updates.
Thursday: Grand Rapids Speedway
Friday: I-94 Speedway Fergus Falls
On July 5th we will be returning to MN and staying for 10 days. Along with seeing family and friends we plan on doing some racing. We are not sure of our exact schedule while we are home. As always keep checking Facebook, twitter and dan-ebert.com for updates.
The night started out good with a 2nd place qualifying lap time, which put us pole position of the 2nd heat. The heat race also went well capturing a win and putting us outside pole of the feature. The feature race turned into quite a battle. We managed to ride the high line and bring home our first victory at 201 Speedway.
Thanks to our sponsors, fans and everyone at 4B Motorsports.
Stay tuned for an update where team #60 is headed next..
